I have been seeing more advice on replacing HCG with 2x/week enclomid (5-12.5mg). What are the pros/cons if this scheme?

Pros:

  1. enclomid is significantly cheaper and easier to get than hCG.

  2. Enclomid increases FSH, which hCG does not, so is better for fertility

  3. No needles

Cons:

  1. Enclomid blocks IGF-1 production, which is an important growth factor for muscle gain and fat loss (one of the main reasons for men wanting to increase their testosterone)
