question from a user

I took .5 mg of anastrozole 2 days ago and I feel great today. When should I take my next dose? Should I wait until I feel high e2 sides or should I take another in exactly a week or in a few days to reach a steady level? Trying to avoid yo-yo feeling.

Ideally you're looking to find a ideal spot where you consistently take your AI at the right dose, the same times each week.

The half life of anastrozole is 50 hours, and it takes 5 half lives for any medicine to be out of your system. So technically, if you take it once per week, some of it will still be active for your next dose.

Some men choose to use anastrozole at a lower dose twice weekly on injection days or once weekly on an injection day, the same day each week.

We often start men at 0.25mg twice weekly or 0.5mg once weekly, then adjust from there.

To figure it out, you may start at 0.25mg once weekly, then increase to 0.5mg once weekly if the sides come back.
